SuperCom buys remnants of Alvarion for just $2m

Israeli wireless communications company Alvarion is being sold to SuperCom Inc. for $2 million. Alvarion, which used to provide wireless communications solutions, entered receivership in 2013 and is no longer active in the WiMAX market. SuperCom, a technology company, will pay $1 million in cash for Alvarion and $1 million in two years based on meeting sales targets. The acquisition is synergetic and will expand SuperComs capabilities to new markets and products, including Internet of Things security.
