German retailer REWE using Israeli startup's AI platform to digitize shopping | CTech
Israeli startup Catch, a retail-focused AI company, has signed an agreement with German retail giant REWE to test its multichannel platform, Catch AI. The platform operates across smart carts, smartphones, and self-checkout kiosks. The solution has been implemented in 110 carts in REWE Center in Cologne, with each cart equipped with a tablet delivering Catch smart personal assistant to shoppers. Founded in 2022, Catch launched its product in May 2023 and currently employs 19 people in its R&D center in Israel and offices in Germany.
