Civ Robotics has deployed over 100 robots worldwide and reached profitability, indicating strong demand for their technology. Their flagship product, CivDots, significantly speeds up construction surveying tasks. Civ Robotics' new CivDash robot automates road striping
Civ Robotics has introduced CivDash, an automated device for marking roads. The device can mark up to 16 miles of lines in a single workday and can be operated remotely up to 100 feet away in a safety truck. The robot is battery-powered with 8 hours of runtime and has an obstacle-detection sensor to avoid collisions. The device is compatible with Trimble’s R780 GNSS receiver and can connect to Trimble base stations, VRS and RTX correction services. Trimble is an investor in Civ Robotics. The company sees CivDash as its first step into the road construction market.

Civ Robotics Raises $5 Million Seed Funding Round
Civ Robotics has raised $5 million in a seed funding round led by ff Venture Capital and Alley Robotics Ventures, with participation from Trimble Ventures. The funds will be used to fuel sales and marketing, technology development, and team growth in the U.S. and Tel Aviv, Israel. The companys autonomous surveying solution, CivDot, is designed for civil engineering and infrastructure projects. It has been adopted by Bechtel, a leader in the EPC industry, among others. The global construction market exceeded $10 trillion in 2020, with $3.4 trillion spent on large infrastructure projects.

DRONE FUND II, managed by Kotaro Chiba and Soki Ohmae in Tokyo, Japan, has invested in CivDrone, an Israeli drone startup led by Tom Yeshurun and Liav Muler. CivDrone is revolutionizing land surveying and GIS technology in the construction and civil engineering arena. The companys solution automates ground marking/survey by leveraging AI, robotics and drone technology. The drone is coded based on the blueprint, flies to the desired coordinates, and drives the pile while rotating it to the ground with an accuracy of 1-2 cm. The company aims to expand the market to various areas and improve the performance of drone operators in the field.

Vinci announces 11 winners of its Catalyst programme to help innovative start-ups - Global Construction Review
French construction group Vinci has selected 11 companies for its Catalyst programme, aimed at helping start-ups commercialise innovative products or services. The selected firms specialise in areas such as construction, infrastructure, mobility, real estate, robotics, and worker safety. The Catalyst programme will provide these companies with access to Vinci’s constituent companies and management, and easier access to French and European markets. The initiative is part of Vinci’s larger Leonard project, which aims to grow businesses.

Five startups at the Syracuse Technology Garden are competing for $3 million in prize money in the third round of the Genius NY program. The winner of the competition will receive a $1 million grand prize, while the other four companies will each receive $500,000. This Startup Makes Drones That Drive Stakes Into the Ground
Civdrone Ltd., an Israeli start-up, has developed a device that can turn commercially available drones into land surveying, measuring, and marking machines for construction sites.
