Zix Adds Backup And Recovery To Arsenal With CloudAlly Buy
Zix has acquired CloudAlly for $30 million to expand its product suite into Microsoft Office 365 backup and provide secure backup and recovery for various platforms. The acquisition will help Zix address the growing demand for an enterprise-grade cloud backup offering. CloudAlly, founded in 2011, has 44 employees and is projected to generate $8 million in annual recurring revenue. Zix serves over 5,000 customers and 250,000 users through 600 Managed Service Provider partners. The acquisition is expected to be highly accretive from a financial standpoint and enable Zix to enter the cloud backup and recovery market, which is growing at 25 percent. This is Zixs first acquisition since its purchase of AppRiver in 2019.
