Colibri Spindles Overview

Colibri Spindles specializes in the design and manufacture of the compact, high-speed, fluid-driven HSM Jet Spindle, which operates at high speeds with minimal vibration and runout for small-diameter cutting tool applications. The HSM Jet Spindle, marketed under the trade names Typhoon and SPINJET, features a wireless, real-time RPM monitoring and display system. Its technology can significantly improve cutting tool performance and reduce machining time by up to 70%. Because the spindle is powered by the machine's own coolant supply, there is no need for any external power source, cables, feeds, or installation. The spindle is a plug-and-play device that fits on the ATC or machine turret as a live tool. Other Colibri products include compact air-bearing spindles for dicing applications and an IoT device-monitoring system.

Spinjet's coolant driven spindle makes waves - MFG Tech Update

Spinjets HSM Jet Spindle, driven by CNC machine spindle coolant, is creating waves at the IMTEX 2015 exhibition. The spindle has real-time RPM monitoring and can save up to 70% of machining time. It is 4-5 times faster than other machines in the market and can reach up to 40,000 RPM. The HSM Jet Spindle is not meant to replace the CNC machine spindle but to upgrade existing machines for improved performance. The technology is available at L&T Cutting Tools stall in hall no 3, booth A114.
