Colugo Systems, an Israeli developer of electric drones, has raised $8.5 million in its first funding round led by Ayalon Insurance and Finance, valuing the company at $65 million pre-investment. Founded in 2018, Colugo has primarily relied on product sales, deploying its drones with the Israel Defense Forces and other security agencies. Israeli startups CardioScale and Colugo have been announced as the winners of the 2018 Combating Terrorism Technology Startup Challenge.
