Mekorot invested in CQM Water

Mekorot, Israels national water company, has invested in CQM Water, a spin-off company that develops, manufactures, and installs on-site electro-chlorination solutions for a wide range of water matrices. Following a successful pilot study in 2015, Mekorot upgraded its gas chlorine facility to CQM Waters on-site sodium hypochlorite generation equipment. This shift has resulted in several benefits for Mekorot, including the complete elimination of risks associated with transporting and storing gaseous chlorine, a 60% reduction in operational costs, and the reduction of Disinfection By-Products (DBPs).
