EifoDefi Overview
EifoDefi is a social defibrillator mapping app designed to enable collaborative mapping of all automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in Israel. The app, which is currently in use in Israel, can save lives by socially mapping public AEDs and making them accessible to everyone. EifoDefi is backed by Cactus Capital, a student-run venture capital firm powered by Ben Gurion University, and is a joint venture with fresh.fund, a Jerusalem-based student-run venture fund.

Saving lives, everywhere: Where's your nearest defibrillator?
Magen David Adom (MDA), in partnership with Mifal HaPayis and local authorities, has installed over 1,000 smart stations across Israel, each containing a life-saving defibrillator device. The defibrillators are connected to MDAs 101 emergency call center and are designed to be used by anyone, even without prior experience or training. The initiative aims to provide a quick response to cardiac arrest cases, one of the leading causes of death in Israel. The defibrillators are located in accessible public places and can be located using the Eifo Defi app.
