Elementary Data has developed a solution that enables data teams to detect problems in their data before their users do. The companys open-source solution can be deployed in minutes by any data engineer without sharing sensitive data. Elementary stores all of the logs, metadata, and metrics it collects and generates in a data warehouse so that users can easily add their own detections and logic. The companys solution also provides a data build tool (dbt) package that can be easily installed in a dbt environment and configured directly from a dbt project.

Israeli startup Elementary, a Y Combinator graduate, has developed an open-source tool designed to help organizations maximize their data usage. The tool allows data teams to identify data issues and pipeline problems before they reach users. The product currently supports four major tools - Snowflake, Bigquery, Redshift, and Databricks. The startup was founded last year by Maayan Salomon and Or Avidov, both 8200 graduates. To date, Elementary has raised $8.5 million from Y Combinator, Cowboy Ventures, and TLV Partners among others.
