Headstart is a crowdfunding platform designed specifically for creative projects and entrepreneurs. With Headstart, a creator can easily design a project's campaign and invite friends and acquaintances via electronic and social media to support the project. When the funding goal is reached, the backers' money is transferred to the creator, who commits to providing the predetermined project-related rewards.

Crowdfunding gets stamp of approval for Israel's financial markets
Israeli crowdfunding platform, Headstart, has received a 14% stake investment from Poalim IBI, Israel’s biggest securities underwriter. The $1m investment, with an option to increase the stake to 49% over the next four years, will help Headstart develop a new operation called Fundit, which will assist start-ups, primarily in high-tech, to raise money from small investors. The move comes after the Knesset approved legislation in December allowing companies to raise money from the public without a formal public offering.
