Innplay Labs, known for its arcade and puzzle animation mobile games, is expected to reach new heights as part of Playtikas portfolio. This acquisition marks Playtikas second transaction this quarter, indicating a strategic expansion of its portfolio. However, it was also revealed that Playtika laid off 610 employees last December, which accounted for 15% of its workforce.

The deal includes an initial payment of $80m, with the final price potentially being higher. Innplay Labs, founded in 2019, has received investment from several parties including Vgames. The acquisition is part of Playtikas strategic expansion of its portfolio. This is Playtikas second transaction this quarter, having previously agreed to acquire the Youda Games portfolio from Azerion for €81.3m. Playtikas Q2 results showed a 2.5% YoY revenue drop to $642.8m, but a 340.5% increase in comprehensive net profit to $90.3m.
