Medinol is dedicated to the science of cardiovascular intervention. Medinol develops, manufactures, and markets EluNIR, an elastomeric drug-eluting stent made from a thin cobalt-chrome alloy and recognized for its optimal balance between flexibility, conformability, scaffolding, and low metal footprint. Medinol stent performs just as well as Medtronic Resolute, study says
A clinical study shows that Medinols EluNIR drug-eluting stent performs just as well as Medtronics Resolute Integrity or Resolute Onyx stents. The study involved 2,221 people and compared the ridaforolimus-eluting stent from Medinol with the zotarolimus-eluting stent from Medtronic. Medinols EluNIR stent was approved by the FDA in 2017 and the first commercial implants took place in the U.S. in early 2018. The stent is distributed in the U.S. by Cardinal Healths Cordis business.

The first commercial cases were performed at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and the Piedmont Heart Institute.
