Piiano raises $9 million in Seed for enterprise data security
Israeli company Piiano has raised $9 million in Seed funding to develop a personal data protection and management platform for cloud-native applications. The platform aims to change how enterprises build privacy-first architecture and operationalize privacy practices. Piianos solution helps security and privacy teams monitor and gain insights into privacy artifacts from application code-bases, while also helping developers partition and isolate personally identifiable information (PII). The funding round was led by YL Ventures, with participation from Jibe Ventures and founders of cybersecurity companies such as Snyk, Armis, Wiz, and Aqua. Piiano was founded by Gil Dabah and Ariel Shiftan, who previously ran cybersecurity firm NorthBit before its acquisition by Magic Leap in 2006.
