PriceZ Overview

PriceZ offers an internet and mobile social consumer platform for shoppers to compare product prices in supermarkets. Users prepare their own shopping lists and get detailed information regarding the cheapest location for their basket in the area. PriceZ collects data from online and offline sources, as well as real-time users visiting supermarkets. Users scan the barcode of a product with their mobile device and the app shows price comparisons from supermarkets in surrounding areas. PriceZ also gathers coupons that can be used directly from the application. Users can also manage and share shopping lists with others, view historical graphs of prices, set and receive alerts on prices, see specials, update prices on the website or using the app, scan barcodes, add products, and review products and stores. PriceZ was developed by Weber Sites.

An Israeli app called Pricez is helping consumers save money by directing them to stores with the cheapest prices. The app takes advantage of a national database for prices of products sold in large supermarkets and grocery chains. Users can set up a shopping list and the app will recommend the store where they will pay the least overall. The app also helps users find cheaper alternatives to products. Pricez is currently focused on building its user base in Israel and has hundreds of thousands of users. The app is only available in Hebrew but plans to expand to other languages. There is currently no income model for the app, but possibilities for monetization are being explored.
