Savyon Diagnostics spins off new company at $1.9m investment
Healthcare Technologies subsidiary Savyon Diagnostics has entered into a joint agreement with Dr. Martin Lee of Great Smokies Diagnostic Laboratory. The agreement involves the acquisition of Savyons clinical laboratory diagnostics business for a purchase price of approximately $1.9 million. A new Israeli company will be organized to facilitate the acquisition, with Healthcare Technologies and Dr. Lee each owning fifty percent of the company. Dr. Lee will serve as the CEO. The purchase price will be paid in installments, with the first $1.2 million being provided as loans from Dr. Lee. The current CEO of Savyon Diagnostics will continue to manage the clinical laboratory genetic diagnostics business. The agreement is expected to facilitate access to the U.S. markets and drive future growth.
