SeeTree secures $17.5 million Series C for its Tree Intelligence Platform | CTech
Israeli agtech company SeeTree has raised $17.5 million in a Series C funding round co-led by HSBC Asset Management and EBRD. The round also saw participation from new investors OurCrowd and SmartAgro, as well as continued support from existing investors including Hanaco Ventures and SeeTree customer Citrosuco. The funding will be used to expand the companys platform to include new crop types and to boost its marketing, sales activities, and R&D efforts in key territories such as North America, LATAM, Ukraine, and APAC. SeeTree has developed an AI-based Tree operating System that provides per-tree intelligence to growers, helping them track the health and productivity of their trees.

Company that offers farmers intel on trees adapts tech to measure carbon absorption
Israeli agrotech company SeeTree has partnered with American afforestation company GreenTrees to measure the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by trees for the carbon trading market. SeeTree uses drone or airplane-mounted cameras and information uploaded by farmers, combined with machine learning, to provide detailed digital files on every tree in a plantation. The company is currently working in Brazil, Mexico, the US, and South Africa, and plans to expand into Europe and the Far East. GreenTrees and its landowners have planted more than 60 million trees, leveraging the carbon absorbed during photosynthesis to issue carbon credits in the voluntary carbon trading market.

Global software company SAP has partnered with Israeli AgriTech start-up SeeTree Systems to provide a joint management solution for farms and orchards. SeeTrees solution will integrate with SAPs ERP solution, SAP S/4HANA, to provide a management platform for farms and orchards worldwide. The joint solution is exclusively available on the SAP Store. The smart tree management platform by SeeTree allows for digital coordination of a farm or orchard, with each tree assigned a name and number. The platform is currently in use on farms in the US, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and South Africa.
