Vidisco Overview

Vidisco designs and manufactures portable X-ray inspection systems. The companys PC-based digital radiography inspection system can fit in a single suitcase. Vidiscos systems are deployed in more than 75 countries worldwide in all types of terrain and weather conditions. In the area of security, the companys inspection systems are used for bomb detection and disposal, VIP protection, drug and contraband detection, customs, and forensics (including dual-energy detection). In nondestructive testing (NDT), Vidiscos ruggedized portable digital X-ray systems are employed for field inspections in the areas of aerospace, shipyards, pipes and welding, art and research, casting, construction, and electrical power. The company also offers portable X-ray solutions for veterinarians, who often require equipment suitable for field operations when examining animals in remote or outdoor locations.
