China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina) is a state-owned enterprise established by the reorganization of subsidiary companies and is ranked 265th on the Fortune Global 500. ChemChina is China's largest chemical company. ChemChina's main business is made up of six sectors: advanced chemical materials and specialty chemicals, basic chemicals, oil processing, agrochemicals, tire and rubber products, and chemical equipment. ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd (formerly Makhteshim-Agan), an Israeli manufacturer and distributor of branded off-patent crop protection products, was acquired by a subsidiary of ChemChina in 2011. ADAMA continues to operate as a subsidiary, offering solutions to farms forcontrolling weeds, insects, and diseases. In 2021, ChemChina was acquired and merged into Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd and ceased to operate as standalone company transferring all its assets.
