Commboards

Commboards is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) speech-assistance app that enables both children and adults with limited verbal abilities to express themselves and communicate more easily with the world around them through a proven system of communication boards. The solution is designed to benefit people with autism, Aspergers, and other common conditions affecting verbal self-expression. Commboards image bank contains a rich collection of easily understood imagery, as well as the option to either add existing images from the device or take new photos with the devices camera. When the user taps on a series of pictures or symbols, the created sentence is read aloud, which in turn encourages oral speech and helps individuals express their thoughts and feelings, consistent with the AAC method. Commboards does not require an internet connection or mobile contract for continuous use, and can be used in a wide range of environments, such as schools, hospitals, and even flights. Commboards offers full support in multiple languages, including English, Russian, Hebrew, Chinese, and Spanish. CommBoards is developed by Shmoontz Apps.

Commboards was founded in 2017 by Israel Tabadi (Co-founder), Dana Fridman (Co-founder).
