Eddy Shalev

Eddy Shalev was born in 1951 in Israel. Mr.Shalev is a Founding Partner at Genesis Partners and a chairman at F2 Capital. Since the beginning of Israel's venture capital industry, Eddy has focused on private-equity investments in the high-tech sector and has played a key role in several high-profile success stories, including Fundtech, Paradigm Geophysical, and Orbot Instruments. Eddy is currently on the board of Aternity, Profitect, Spoondoolies tech, and Sensible Medical. Eddy has been an active private equity investor in Israel since 1992 when he began a private equity investment program that invested in early-stage Israeli high-tech companies. He had also co-founded the Mofet Israel Technology Fund, one of Israel's first venture capital firms. Beginning in 1985, Eddy led the Israeli affiliates of Oscar Gruss and Sons Inc., and then later CIBC-Oppenheimer, where he directed the firms corporate banking, sales and trading, and equity research for Israeli companies traded on NASDAQ. Shalev holds a M.Sc. in Information Systems and a B.A. in Statistics from Tel Aviv University.
