Eran Shir

Eran Shir is a serial entrepreneur and investor. He is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Nexar, which develops an AI Driving App for Road Safety and Event Recording. Prior to that, Mr. Shir was an entrepreneur in Residence in Aleph VC, focusing on fields like IoT, big data, cryptocurrencies, marketplaces, and networks. Before Aleph, he ran the global Creative Innovation Center for Yahoo!, where he was responsible for Yahoo!'s ad creative technologies strategy and portfolio, as well as the development of its next-generation ad creative personalization platform. He has joined Yahoo! in October 2010 when Yahoo! acquired Dapper, a dynamic ads and semantic web startup, he has co-founded earlier, in 2007. Earlier in his career, he was a physicist, an Internet researcher, and the founder of the DIMES Internet research project, and of Cogniview, a machine learning startup. Mr. Shir holds an MA and a BA in Theoretical Physics from the Technion and a Ph.D. from TAU. In the last 25 years, he is serving as a board member at the Israel Center for Excellence through Education, a renowned national non-profit organization in Israel that focuses on finding and cultivating young excellent students to fulfill their full potential.
