Hexagon AB engages in sensor, software and autonomous solutions. It provides information technologies solutions that drive productivity and quality across geospatial and industrial enterprise applications. The company operates through the following business segments: Geospatial Enterprise Solutions and Industrial Enterprise Solutions. The Geospatial Enterprise Solutions segment engages in planning, construction and maintenance of infrastructure, mining, agriculture and public safety. The Industrial Enterprise Solutions segment includes measurement and quality inspection of complex parts, as well as design and operation of engineering facilities. Hexagon Metrology Israel Ltd (rebranded to Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence) was created in 2007 after the acquisition of CogniTens, a provider of comprehensive dimensional measurement solutions. The center focuses on improving engineering and manufacturing processes in the automotive andother manufacturing industries. Other development activities of Hexagon in Israel are operated by Intergraph Israel Software Development Center (Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division). Intergraph is an American company that was acquired by Hexagon in 2010. It provides software development, engineering solutions, and spatial GIS to a variety of fields including telecommunications, transportation, shipping, and petrochemical plants.
