What does SmellSpace do?
SmellSpace is a social network centered around its users scent preferences. Users are asked to smell and rate scents in the odor booklet provided by SmellSpace in order to generate their smell-based identity. They can then view smell-based predictions about their personality, see how their preferences compare with those of friends, or let SmellSpace suggest new friends based on smell-match. Each persons sense of smell is unique and directly connected to the brains emotional, arousal, and memory centers. SmellSpaces research suggests that couples with high smell-match scores often have good relationships. All of the odors used in SmellSpace are used in perfumery and scientific experiments, and are considered safe in the given concentrations.
