Yossi Ackerman

Yossi Ackerman is an angel investor, business mentor, and the former President and CEO of Elbit Systems, an Israel-based international defense electronics company engaged in a wide range of programs throughout the world. He joined Elbit in 1982 and held various management positions, including GM of EFW, SVP of Operations Group, VP of Operations, and VP of Advanced Battlefield Systems. From 1994 to 1996, he served as SVP and GM of Elbit's Defense Systems Division (EDS). He also served as the Chairman and as a Director of Elbit Systems EW and SIGINT - Elisra and Elbit Systems. He has also served as the Chairman of Tadiran Communications (since 2005), as the Chairman of Elbit Systems (from 1996 to 2004), and as the Vice Chairman of Elbit Systems (from April 1, 2013 to November 19, 2013). He has also served as a Director of Imagesat International N.v. In addition, Mr. Ackerman co-founded OpenValley, an entrepreneurial co-working space. Its workspaces are offered through a flexible rental model and include private offices, meeting rooms, lounges, and inspirational spaces. OpenValley members can enjoy networking, lectures, and professional seminars. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (the Technion).
