Cooling Crops is an academic spinoff that develops a sprayable powder to address land degradation and heat stress in agriculture. When applied to soil, the powder supports the restoration of the soil microbiome and improves nutrient uptake. When applied to plant surfaces, it helps reduce heat stress and promote growth.
The technology was developed through interdisciplinary research at the Hebrew University and has shown measurable improvements in soil water retention, nitrogen fixation, structural stability, and temperature regulation. The solution is designed to improve crop yields and soil health in response to increasing climate-related stress on agricultural systems.
