General Electric (GE) has had a significant presence in Israel, primarily through its healthcare division. GE Healthcare Israel was established in 1998 following the acquisition of several Israeli companies specializing in the development and production of medical devices. These included the ultrasound division of Elbit Imaging and Elscint’s MRI division. Over the years, GE Healthcare has made several investments in Israel.
