H2Pro is developing an electrolyzer system based on Decoupled Water Electrolysis (DWE), a process that separates hydrogen and oxygen generation into two distinct steps. This membrane-less design enables the use of low-cost materials and reduces both capital and operational expenses. The system is engineered for high efficiency and stable performance under dynamic power conditions, making it suitable for integration with intermittent renewable energy sources The company was founded in 2019 based on research from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and is backed by major industry investors including Breakthrough Energy, Temasek, and ArcelorMittal.
