iPIPE developed a system for direct inspection and asset management of potable water pressurized pipe networks, all while the pipes remain in service. Their solution addresses various issues such as leaks, faulty welds, corrosion, blockage, unauthorized connections, and unmapped (GIS) network segments. The key component of iPIPE is an autonomous sensor-carrying platform capable of traveling long distances, navigating independently, and communicating with the operator. It excels in three core capabilities: navigation within the water network, implementing various sensing devices for inspection purposes (including visual, noise, pressure, temperature, and flow sensors), and facilitating signal transfer through the water pipes.
