MarCell - Marine BioTechnology is a platform company, targeting development of patentable technology for mass production of bioactive products around a core competency. The main goal is to address the lack of sufficient supply for the development of new drugs from marine organisms, some of which indulgently wait on shelves for supply solution. MarCells activities are focused on acquiring ubiquitous and generic technologies for the development of cell factories out of any kind of marine invertebrates, already known to possess economically important new products. This will enable the use of high throughput production of these novel potent materials for the development of new drugs, cosmetics, agrochemicals and other products for a variety of commercial purposes.
