MaxLinear Inc is a fabless system-on-a-chip product company, designing highly integrated, radio-frequency, and mixed-signal communications integrated circuits for broadband and infrastructure applications. MaxLinear Israel Ltd,the development center, was opened in 2016. The center is based on the Israeli start-up Provigent, which MaxLinear acquired from Broadcom in 2016. The center develops wireless broadband communications chips for large mobile phone companies. In 2018, the center was closed but it was opened again in 2020 following the sale of Intel's Home Gateway Platform Division to MaxLinear.
