SES provides reliable and secure satellite and ground communications solutions. The company focuses on value-added, end-to-end solutions in two key business units: SES Video and SES Networks. SES provides satellite communications services to broadcasters, content and internet service providers, mobile and fixed network operators, governments and institutions. In July 2016 SES acquired RR Media and the merged company was rename MX1. In 2019, MX1 was merged into the SES Video division, dropping the MX1 brand and providing all broadcast and streamed content management, playout, distribution, and monetization services under the SES name.
