Sterisent manufactures and sells a general sanitizer based on a simple electrolysis process in which an electric charge is used to rupture a pathogens cell, killing it in seconds and eliminating any chance of pathogen resistance. Sterisents General Sanitizer kills viruses, bacteria, mold, and fungi through a variety of dispersal methods, including sprays, fogging, and ultrasonic evaporation on surfaces, open spaces, and equipment. The device is completely safe for use without personal protection equipment (PPE); however, because sanitizing occurs in contaminated areas, PPE must be used in compliance with regulations. In addition, patients do not need to be removed from their rooms during sanitization.
