About
Tzrik CO2 is developing a novel modular approach to carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) by utilizing specialized machines to extract CO2 from the atmosphere(DAC) or flue gas. The machines employ a porous hydroxide-based material with a large surface area to effectively absorb the CO2.
The abosrbing material is stored in plastic cartridges, for easy installation and replacment, and the machines are monitored by a microcontroller and sensors that send data to the InfulxDB (hosted on AWS) in the cloud, to determine when the cartridges should be replaced.
Once the CO2 reacts with the hydroxide-based material, it is converted into carbonate. The resulting carbonated material is then combined with waste plastic to create durable building materials such as boards and blocks. These materials effectively store the captured CO2 for hundreds of years, as the plastic acts as a protective barrier, preventing biological degradation.
