AgingIL, a community of innovators, is aiming to ensure optimal aging as the elderly population in Israel is expected to nearly double in the next decade. The AgeTech industry, which focuses on creating innovative technological solutions for the elderly, is in its early stages in Israel but is expected to reach volumes of $2 trillion in a few years. AgingIL, led by the Innovation Communities Division at the Ministry of Economy, Joint-Ashel, and the Partnerships organization, in partnership with the Ministry of Welfare, Ministry of Health, Ministry of National Resilience, and the Innovation Authority, is a community of 200-250 entrepreneurs with a passion and talent for providing creative technological solutions to various issues related to the world of aging.

Aging IL community, in collaboration with four local authorities, has launched a technology challenge for entrepreneurs and startups that have developed a solution to ease the lives of the elderly. The winners will receive mentoring, a prize of up to 20,000 shekels, and also a chance to make a deal. The challenge is aimed at entrepreneurs and startups with a product at least at the MVP stage, whose solution relates to physical accessibility, information accessibility, and social accessibility. The projects will be piloted in four municipalities and will also win a cash prize of up to 20,000 shekels.
