AgroSolar Overview

AgroSolar is developing a solar irrigation system for use in areas not connected to the electrical grid. Its initial target market includes small-scale farmers cultivating one to two hectares in India and other developing countries. AgroSolars solution is a piston-based solar-powered water-pumping system. The pump and other elements, such as a dedicated inverter/controller, are designed to optimally supply varying solar energy to the pump. The technology can be combined with drip irrigation or other microirrigation systems to allow grid-independent pumping, irrigation, and fertilization for improved yields.

First Israel-India projects get green light from joint $40 million tech fund

The Israel-India Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund (I4F) has announced the four first recipients for grants from the fund. The recipients include Bacsoft and Energy Efficiency Services Limited, Ubiqam Ltd. and Frog Cellsat Limited, Agrosolar Irrigation Systems Ltd. and Vyoda Private Ltd., and Sanoculis Ltd. and Appasamy Ocular Devices (P) Ltd. The fund, which will grant $40 million over a period of five years, aims to boost collaboration between researchers and firms in Israel and India. The second call for joint venture proposals is scheduled to be launched in August 2018.
