AlphaC Overview

AlphaC is an Internet of Things (IoT) and operational technology (OT) security acceleration program and it is an initiative of TAU Ventures in partnership with NEC, Checkpoint, Innogy, Team8 and Cybereason. Participating startups have an opportunity to work with the program's partners as design partners, have close guidance in developing their MVP or conduct a joint pilot. The programs' curriculum covers different areas from business fundamentals, lean startup methodologies, and product-market fit to development support. The program concludes in a demo day, where startups present in front of industry leaders, investors, and key players from the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Japan's NEC and Tel Aviv University Launch Cyber Startup Incubator

Japanese IT provider NEC Corporation is partnering with Tel Aviv University to launch a mentorship program for early-stage cyber startups. The first cohort of the three-month program, called AlphaC, will begin in February with five companies. Participating startups will receive business and technological mentoring, workspace on campus, access to university resources and an opportunity to create industry connections. NEC is involved in all aspects of the program and will provide both mentors and advisory board members, and grant participants access to their Israeli and global labs.
