ALYNnovation Overview
ALYNnovation is an innovation track for the development and commercialization of pediatric assistive technologies. The ALYNnovation team works with entrepreneurs and inventors to identify, develop, and commercialize innovation that can benefit children with physical disabilities around the world. ALYNnovation is located in ALYN Hospital's innovation space and offers a lab equipment and co-working space. In partnership with teams of medical device engineers, product designers, and 3D-printing experts, ALYNnovation provides a rich environment for assistive technology entrepreneurs. ALYN is Israel's pediatric rehabilitation hospital. The hospital treats children with a broad range of congenital and acquired conditions. ALYN staff regularly treat children from overseas and advise hospitals worldwide on treatment and care, as well as on innovative solutions developed at the hospital.

A team at Pele, the innovation program at Jerusalem’s ALYN Hospital, developed a personalized solution to help an eight-year-old boy with a bone illness eat independently. The solution combines an aluminum structure, a spoon, a plate, a wheel, electronics, and a 3D printer. The PELE program at ALYN focuses on finding personalized solutions for children with special needs, while the ALYNovation program is for entrepreneurs and inventors to develop assistive technology products for children. Innovation center for special-needs kids opens in Jerusalem
