AM Ventures extrudes $100M to support industrial 3D printing
AM Ventures, a Munich-based venture capital firm, has closed a $100 million fund focused on early growth stages of industrial and commercial 3D printing applications. The firms portfolio includes 18 companies across three continents, with investments in companies such as Headmade Materials, LightForce Orthodontics, and Conflux Technology. The funds LPs include family offices, asset managers, enterprises, small businesses, and existing portfolio startup founders. AM Ventures aims to support startups in bringing innovation to the additive manufacturing industry and producing industrial goods in a sustainable manner. The firm is primarily interested in investing in hardware, software, materials, and applications related to 3D printing. They are particularly excited about applications that can contribute to addressing climate change, such as heat exchangers in electric motors and 3D printed silicone for healthcare applications.

German fund AM Ventures plans to invest in Israeli 3D printing start-ups following a successful fundraising round of approximately €100 million. The fund has already invested €30 million in companies worldwide, including AV Medical, which was recently acquired for an estimated $30 million. AM Ventures will be introduced to the Israeli industry at the 3D and Beyond conference in Jerusalem, in collaboration with Jerusalem Development Authority, Hebrew Universitys Nanotechnology Center, and Berlin Partner. The conference aims to promote collaboration between the Israeli and German industries and showcase recent developments and applications in the field of 3D printing.
