UK's Amadeus Raises $55M Fund To Focus On Early Stage Cloud, Hardware Startups
Amadeus Capital Partners has raised £33.2m ($55 million) in the first closing of its new fund, Amadeus IV Early Stage Funds. The fund plans to invest in UK companies developing disruptive technologies in high-growth sectors such as big data analytics, cloud computing, cyber security, low-power computing, medical technology, and digital healthcare. The fund is an Enterprise Capital Fund (ECF) supported by the British Business Bank and is Amadeus second ECF. The previous Amadeus fund was seed-focused, but the new fund will focus on early-stage investments. Amadeus has a particular interest in hardware deals. The fund aims to do Series A fundings up to £1 million and will start at £250,000 for pre-revenue companies.
