Amplication raises $6.6 million to automate backend development

Amplication, a company that develops an open-source project for backend development, has raised $6.6 million in a Seed round led by Norwest Venture Partners and Vertex Ventures-Israel. The funding will enable Amplication to expand the use of its platform, which has gained significant community adoption. The company aims to streamline and automate backend development, saving time and improving productivity for developers. The round also saw participation from other investors, including Entrée Capital, Velocity Ventures, First Round Capital, Elron Ventures, SV Angel, Operator Partners, and toDay Ventures. Several angel investors also participated in the round. Amplication was founded in 2020 and has already gained traction in 160 countries.
