Aniwo, the first Japanese-Israeli startup?
Samurai Incubate, a Japanese start-up incubator, has established its first overseas office in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company selected Japanese entrepreneurs Ani Terada, Takuya Ogushi, and Chikara Ueno to join their team in Israel. Aniwo, the startup founded by the three entrepreneurs, recently launched their first project called Million Times, a startup pitch competition in collaboration with Samurai Incubate. The competition offers a $100K round of investment with Samurai Incubate as the prize. The entrepreneurs have been impressed by the startup ecosystem in Israel and aim to recreate some of its success on a larger scale through Million Times. They also enjoy their role as cultural ambassadors, appreciating the appreciation of Japanese culture in Israel. Samurai Incubate and its CEO, Kentaro Sakakibara, are well-known in Japan and are excited about the opportunities that arise from the intersection of Japanese and Israeli cultures.
