AshdodTech Overview

Ashdodtech is the largest Hi-tech community in the Ashdod region. Its main purpose is to promote the hi-tech industry in Ashdod. With over 10,000 hi-tech employees in the region of Ashdod, the Israeli port, hospitals, Elta, and many other companies and small startups, the community believes this is the time for making new opportunities for Ashdod. With webinars, meetups, and workshops with top-notch companies, local municipality, entrepreneurs, and many others, the community gathered to build the largest ecosystem in the area.

The hi-tech and entrepreneurship community in Ashdod held an online event to summarize the years activities. The event was attended by CEOs and entrepreneurs from Ashdod and the surrounding area, including Shai Binnun, who founded a company worth billions of dollars. The event discussed various motivations for entering the field of entrepreneurship, the obstacles and challenges on the way to success, and the importance of a local, connected, and supportive community that enables rapid growth. The event also discussed the advantages of starting a startup for those entering the hi-tech market from elite units such as 8200 versus those coming from other tracks.

Oracle Israel has partnered with a local tech community in Ashdod, Israel, which consists of 10,000 tech professionals. The partnership was announced at an event held at the Directions center in Ashdod, which is also establishing the citys first tech hub. The center runs several programs, including training young people for tech professions. Oracle Israel showcased various opportunities for entrepreneurs and developers on Oracles new Gen 2 cloud infrastructure at the event.

The official launch event of the Ashdod tech community took place at the Directions youth center. Over 200 guests attended the event, which introduced local tech industry workers to the activities and initiatives of their peers in the city. The community was established by a group of tech industry professionals, including Itamar Asaf and Miki Hovel, who aim to expand opportunities and develop the tech sector in the city for a generation of developers and entrepreneurs. Oracle Israel, which showcased its new cloud infrastructure at the event, was a partner in the production of the launch event.
