Yuanda invests US$180m in agri-tech
Chinese company Yuanda has invested US$180m in Israeli agricultural technology company AutoAgronom to establish a factory in China to manufacture intelligent drip irrigation systems. AutoAgronom previously sold a 54% stake to Yuanda for US$20m. The partnership aims to combine AutoAgronoms technology with Yuandas marketing capabilities to tap into the growing market for drip irrigation systems in China. AutoAgronoms systems are currently used in over 70 different crops in 13 countries.

Israeli start-up goes for the silver at MassChallenge
Agricultural technology firm AutoAgronom has been named as the only Israeli winner in the MassChallenge 2014 start-up contest.
