Biovac develops and produces vaccines and pharmaceuticals to prevent and treat animal diseases. The company also produces vitamin preparations, disinfectants, and pest-control products. Biovac invests heavily in research and development, and owns its own production laboratories, including a BSL3 laboratory and a Beta Lactam production alignment. Its production units are authorized and supervised by the Israeli Ministry of Health and Ministry of Agriculture.

Israel: New Salmonella live vaccine approved

Israeli Veterinary Services has approved the Virsal E vaccine developed by Biovac Biological Laboratories for poultry. The vaccine is invasive but safe, inducing durable immunity without causing disease. The immunity induced by Virsal E is genetically stable.
