OpenLegacy is a portfolio company of RDC, with investors including Silverhorn Investment Advisors, CommerzVentures, C. Entrepreneurs, Leumi Partners, O.G. Tech Ventures, and Prytek-GFS Group.

Israeli digital services co OpenLegacy raises $30m

Israeli software company OpenLegacy has closed a $30 million financing round led by Silverhorn Investment Advisors. The company provides digital services to connect legacy systems with digital apps for banks and insurance companies. OpenLegacys platform allows core systems to be opened and quickly create API gateways, enabling dialogue with all other apps. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand its global marketing efforts. OpenLegacy already works with three of the worlds top-ten banks and other customers include Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd., Meuhedet Health Fund, AIG, and the Israel Airports Authority.

BNP Paribas Partners With Israeli Car Maintenance Startup Engie

Warranty Direct, a car warranty company owned by BNP Paribas, has partnered with Engie Motors to use their technology for remotely detecting issues in insured cars. BNP Paribas has also invested an undisclosed amount in Engie. Engie develops a device that connects to a cars computer and monitors malfunctions and maintenance needs, providing real-time recommendations through a mobile app. Engie recently launched a service called Engie Fleet for monitoring the condition of vehicles in large fleets. The partnership and investment are expected to contribute to the growth of Warranty Direct.

French Bank BNP Paribas to Introduce New Customer Service Automation Technologies

BNP Paribas will implement technologies developed by Israel-based startup 7twenty in its customer service online chat system. The deal was signed between BNP Paribas and Paris suburb Nanterre-based live chat company Cywyc, the French distributor for 7twenty. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. BNP Paribas will first implement 7twenty’s technology in its Paris headquarters, then expand the service to Bulgaria and other offices. 7twentys technology is already used by customers in several countries, including Israels Bank Hapoalim and Israel Discount Bank Ltd.
