E-commerce platform Global-e buys Borderfree for $100m

Global-e Online has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Pitney Bowes Borderfree cross-border e-commerce solutions business for $100 million in cash. The acquisition strengthens Global-es solutions for large organizations and supports its strategy of global brand expansion. In addition, Global-e has formed a strategic partnership with Pitney Bowes, where Pitney Bowes will provide logistics services to Global-e and its customers. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2022. Borderfree is projected to report over $40 million in revenues in 2022. Global-e held its IPO in May 2021 with a valuation of $3.6 billion.

Pitney Bowes to acquire Borderfree for $395m

Pitney Bowes is acquiring Borderfree, an Israeli e-commerce company, for $395 million. Borderfree had $125 million in revenue in 2014 and has 250 employees. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Borderfrees growth and expand Pitney Bowes portfolio of offerings in the global e-commerce market.
