BrainPOP's mind-blowing deal: Israeli founder nets $875 million from deal with Lego | CTech

Israeli edtech company BrainPOP, founded by Avraham Kadar, has been acquired by KIRKBI A/S for $875 million. BrainPOP develops short, animated movies for kids to simplify complex ideas. The company has a presence in over two-thirds of U.S. school districts and serves approximately 25 million students annually. The acquisition will allow BrainPOP to remain operationally independent and continue its mission of empowering kids through education. Avraham Kadar, the founder, will remain on the board of directors and act as a senior advisor to the acquiring group. The acquisition comes as BrainPOP experienced a surge in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.
