Ben-Gurion University of the Negev has established a $1 million venture capital fund to invest in student startups. The fund, Cactus Capital, was established in October 2018 by the universitys Entrepreneurship Center Yazamut 360 in collaboration with BGN Technologies, the universitys tech transfer company, and fresh.fund. The fund is managed by students and has already signed investment agreements with nine startups, each receiving $20,000 and business and marketing mentoring.
