Israel opens one-of-a-kind medical cannabis tech incubator
CanNegev, the worlds first government-sponsored medical cannabis technology incubator, will open in Yeruham, Israel. Over a period of five years, 30 startup companies with breakthrough technology in the medical cannabis field will be admitted into the incubator. The incubator is operated by a consortium consisting of OurCrowd, Perrigo, and BOL Pharma, with an investment of approximately ₪150 million ($43 million) planned. The Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) will also open tech incubators for Industry 4.0, plastics, cleantech, and agtech in the north and south regions of Israel. The three new incubators are expected to promote the establishment of 130 startups with a budget of up to ₪1 million ($30 million) per startup.

Israel to get first state-sponsored medical marijuana startup incubator
