Building blocks: Israeli startup strives to innovate the construction industry
Israeli startup CaStory is using smart software linked to a 360° camera to find construction defects before its too late. The companys solution eliminates the need for manual defect detection and construction quality assurance, saving time and project costs. Contractors can enter architectural blueprints into CaStorys system, while a foreman wearing a 360-degree camera scans the inside of the building, creating an overall image of the site. The visual data is analyzed and compared with the original plans, and a summary of identified defects and setbacks is created. CaStory has raised hundreds of thousands of NIS from the Highroad Innovation Center and is seeking to complete a full Seed funding round. The company is actively working on projects in Israel and the US and plans to sell its product to entrepreneurs in the construction industry and create strategic partnerships in the real estate sector.
